Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

What is Lymphatic Drainage?

Lymphatic drainage is a form of gentle massage to assist with the movement of lymph fluid through the body. It helps remove waste and toxins from the body, assist with clearing excess fluid following an injury or a surgery, therefore improving recovery time.

Lymphatic drainage massage is useful for swollen limbs and ankles, excess sinus congestion, and sinus headaches. It is also very beneficial in circumstances where lymph nodes have been removed e.g., cancer treatment, an accident or where there is a tendency for build-up of fluid in the surrounding tissue.

Because the lymphatic system does not have a pump to push fluid through its vessels, it relies on the muscles, or someone else the manually move the lymph fluid, and therefore people with stationary jobs often feel the benefits after a lymphatic drainage massage.

Lymphatic drainage massage can be a simple and useful way to maintain overall good health, and to assist those who are prone to excess fluid retention, by maintaining healthy lymphatic system.
